The Greenhouse Education Project Presents Offshoots - A public programme of activities, workshops and events for young people in Bath
Great scientists have to be creative to innovate. The Museum of Science, the Arts and Interdisciplinary Collaboration (the MoSAIC) wants to debunk any ideas that exist that science isn’t creative. They provide educators and learners with resources, training and workshops that bridge the gap between science and the arts. Their current focus is how we can use art to explore how non-visible wavelengths of light such as infrared can help us discover more about the universe.
Explore the hidden world of invisible infrared art with artist Gaz Lawrence. Question how his paintings of imagined exoplanet landscapes are revealed only through thermal imaging, experiment with materials to create your own exoplanet inspired landscapes, and see your work come alive through an infrared camera!
Wednesday 1st April
Workshop 1 - Ages 6-10 11am - 1pm
