Solsbury Hill Ensemble are delighted to be returning to Batheaston Village Hall for Sounds of Spring - Creative Community Concert on Sunday 22nd March 2026, at 10:45 AM.
This is a multigenerational concert for all the community. Spread the word to your neighbours and grandparents so they too can enjoy the range of music, joyful atmosphere in a relaxed environment.
Sounds of Spring will include extracts from Vivaldi’s Spring from the Four Seasons, the Swan and Cuckoo from Carnival of the Animals and of course the usual foot stompers, folk melodies and sing alongs that feature in our community concerts.
There will be complimentary coffee and cake provided with pre-booked tickets. Doors open at 10:30 and the music will start at 10:45. There will be a short break from the music in the middle of the concert to get refills, get creative and have a catch up with friends.
For children there will be plenty to keep them interested whether that is getting close to the musicians, dancing with ribbons or scarfs, listening, drawing to the music, asking questions, creating using playdoh or eating cake!
The musicians…
This concert will feature local professional musicians Ali Boden (Violin), Lucy Hewson (Violin and Viola) and Lorna Davis (Cello).
The musicians can often be seen playing locally and nationally, whether that is with the Pump Room Trio, Candlelight Concerts, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Welsh National Opera or leading Bath Symphony Orchestra. Other highlights include playing live on Radio, on CD recordings, on TV and at venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, The Coliseum, The London Palladium and The Royal Opera House to name a few!
They are Live Music Now artists and play in local SEN schools, care homes and hospitals.
